Battle of Zaoyang–Yichang, also known as the Battle of Zaoyi /1 May – 18 June 1940/, was one of the 22 major engagements between the National Revolutionary Army and Imperial Japanese Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War. First Battle of Changsha /17 September 1939 – 6 October 1939/ was the first of four attempts by Japan to take the city of Changsha, Hunan, during the second Sino-Japanese War. It was the first major battle of the war to fall within the time frame of what is widely considered World War II.
入城 literally means "entry into a castle (by a conquering force)".
