.Ivan Petrovich Khlebnikov is a jewelry company founded in 1871 in Moscow, renowned for its creations of gold, silver, and precious stone jewelry. It has received numerous awards at international and Russian exhibitions. It is also a supplier to the Court of His Imperial Majesty and to the courts of the kings of the Netherlands, Serbia, Montenegro, and Denmark. Until 1867, 1st guild merchant Ivan Petrovich Khlebnikov worked in the jewelry industry in St. Petersburg. By 1869, Khlebnikov had two stores in Moscow: on the Silver Line of the Upper Trading Rows and on Ilyinka. He sold diamonds, gold, and silver items.
In 1871, Ivan Petrovich Khlebnikov founded a jewelry factory in the Yauza region, specializing in gold, silver, and diamond jewelry. With over 40 years of experience in jewelry production, Khlebnikov began creating complex pieces from the very first days of the company's creation, becoming a supplier to the court of Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich by 1872. Ivan Khlebnikov's sons, Mikhail, Nikolai, and Alexei, were actively involved in the business. Another son, Vladimir, joined the business in 1878. In 1871, more than 100 employees worked at Khlebnikov’s factory, and during its first year of existence, goods worth 56 thousand rubles were produced. Since 1873 he became the supplier of wardrobe items to Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna. In 1877, permission was granted to be called the Supplier to the Court of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich. In 1879, a company store was opened in St. Petersburg on Nevsky Prospect near the Kazan Cathedral. Khlebnikov's products were presented in the company store at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. In 1879 the company was awarded the title of Supplier to the Court of His Imperial Majesty. In 1880, the company received permission to expand. Production was modernized and a school for 35 students was opened.
In 1881, Ivan Petrovich Khlebnikov died. His sons continued the business. In 1887, Khlebnikov's firm acquired all the assets of another Supplier to the Court, Sazikov: the Moscow and St. Petersburg stores and factory. A steam boiler and steam engines were purchased for the factory. In 1888, Mikhail, Alexey, and Nikolay Khlebnikov, and also the 1st guild merchant V. N. Suvorin founded the “Partnership for the Production of Silver, Gold, and Jewelry Products I. P. Khlebnikov Sons and Co.”. During the first year of the partnership’s existence, a profit of 38,288 rubles was received. In June 1917, the factory was closed and the shares were transferred to the Moscow district zemstvo. After nationalization, a platinum plant began operating on the site of Khlebnikov's factory. It manufactured products for laboratories and the electrochemical and chemical industries. The production of cutlery, stamped "Platinum-instrument," continued.
