Museum attributes this cross to Captain Rudnev Vsevolod Fedorovich - commander of famous battleship Varyag. He was awarded with 4th class St.George order on February 23, 1904. Naturally he should received standard "Kapitul" 4th class cross made by Albert Keibel workshop. How Rudnev ended up with this cross (if it is indeed his cross) is a mystery.

On display.

Iconography of this cross is typical for IK-made crosses from 1870s/early 1880s.

Another 4th class cross from the collection Central Naval Museum in St. Petersburg.
This cross has even stranger attribution than the previous one. Allegedly this cross belonged to none other than Admiral Nakhimov.
But this is impossible since the admiral received his 4th class cross back in 1827 (and died in 1855). At that time this type of cross didn't even exist.
