Fake Orders of St. Alexander Nevsky with Diamonds in the collection of Moscow Kremlin Museums

Modern made fake is an unusual object for such an authoritative collection. To put it mildly.

So how this "relic" managed to find its way into collection of Moscow Kremlin Museums?!

The only original part is the central painted medallion.
It was taken from the original badge without diamonds made by Keibel workshop (typical iconography for the badges from the last quarter of 19th century).
So we have badge that (by type) belong to the pre-1819 time period with central medallion that was used during 1875-1895 time period.
This obvious fact alone should alarm museum staff.

According to the museum staff back in 2016 "one of the largest Russian corporation "bought a few orders with diamonds "at the western actions" and donated them to the museum (additional examples of these "artefacts" https://asiamedals.info/threads/fak...e-collection-of-moscow-kremlin-museums.25625/ ; https://asiamedals.info/threads/rep...e-collection-of-moscow-kremlin-museums.23698/ ; https://asiamedals.info/threads/ord...rothe-cf-rothe-nephew-wien.25600/#post-361462).
Recently museum showed these "newly regained relics" at exhibition "Alexander Nevsky. Name, Symbol, Legend".

Take a close look at this jewelry masterpiece.

Forth fake badge. This is old and well-known type of fake https://asiamedals.info/threads/fakes-and-replicas-of-st-alexander-nevsky-order.22734/#post-349215 that was manufactured during early 2000s after original badge in the collection of State Historical Museum https://asiamedals.info/threads/ord...evsky-made-by-johann-wilhelm-keibel-wk.23596/. For the first time obverse of original badge was published in the 1990 Durov`s book "Russian and Soviet Military Awards" (and once again in his 1993 book "The Orders of Russia"). Details of reverse until recently were unknown to the fakers.

The quality is simply appalling.

Obvious differences in workmanship.
Even for non-specialist.
