Group belonged to the French historian, art historian and poet Pierre Girault de Nolhac (15 December 1859, Ambert – 31 January 1936, Paris).

Beautiful large miniature chain of the consular official and diplomat Paul Goetsch. Paul Goetsch was born in 1867 in Slawentzitz, Province of Silesia, studied law and economics at the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelm University and the Philipps University Marburg and was active in both the Corps Lusatia Breslau and the Corps Teutonia Marburg. In 1895 he joined the Foreign Service and three years later was entrusted with the provisional management of the consulate in Algiers. Further positions and promotions were to follow, which culminated in 1917 with the appointment as Wirkl. Go. Legation Councilors have been crowned. From 1920 he was envoy in Montevideo, where he was tasked with re-establishing the ministerial residence and converting it into an embassy - also for Paraguay. In 1932 he was forced into retirement because he had reached the age limit, but he was only able to enjoy it for three months and died on April 1, 1932 in Berlin, where he also found his final resting place.​
