Dagger was bought in the St. Petersburg Fokine's officer's shop /Fokin Petr Alexandrovich (Фокин Петр Александрович) hereditary honorary citizen, merchant of the 2nd guild, "master of military officer things/мастер военно-офицерских вещей". From 1875 he was the supplier of the Court of His Imperial Highness Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich, and from 1881 he was the supplier of the Court of His Majesty Emperor Alexander III. From the 1850s to 1915, Fokine's officer's shop operated in St. Petersburg. Fokine's store offered buyers, along with other goods, edged weapons with blades, mostly of foreign production/.
