Ribbon ring engraved No.136. According to the official archive files (RGIA, F. 468, opis 43, delo 1015, № 136/РГИА, фонд 468, опись 43, № 84) cross numbered "No. 136" was made by the Karl Hahn firm /Karl Blank was the head workmaster of the firm https://asiamedals.info/threads/ord...to-paul-deschanel-in-1901.26666/#post-358870/ in 1906/1907 at the cost of 460 rubles.

Cross marked with a maker's mark "CB" for Karl Blank /Carl Blank; Карл Карлович Бланк/, St. Petersburg assay office gold hallmark from 1908+ time period and French import gold hallmark "coquille" (shell with alpha = Paris) for 585 gold that was introduced in 1994.

During the reign of Emperor Nicholas II only 38 diamond 1st class crosses of Saint Anna were were awarded. Of these, only two orders were made in the workshop of Karl Blank. They entered the Cabinet of His Imperial Majesty on July 17 and October 3, 1912. The price of each order was 2,000 rubles. The first of these orders was awarded on July 13, 1913 to the Prussian military commissioner at the Russian court in St. Petersburg, adjutant general and cavalry general of the Prussian service Alfred Hermann Heinrich Burggraf und Graf zu Dohna- Schlobitten (6.1.1852 - 16.12.1929). The second cross was awarded on July 20, 1914 to the Archbishop of Iasi and Metropolitan of Moldova Pimen (Georgescu) (1853–1934).​
