Alexander Adolf Treiden, birth and death dates unknown, of Baltic German stock. From the early 1880’s until 1894, or possibly 1896, Treiden worked exclusively for the Court Jeweler Hahn. His workshop was situated at 5, Kaznacheyskaya Street, a 15-minute walk from Hahn’s shop at 26, Nevski Prospekt. In 1892 he was registered as a Merchant of the Second Guild, giving him right to own both a workshop and a retail store. In 1908, working as an independent jeweler and shop owner, he was appointed Deputy of the St. Petersburg Assay Inspection. In 1912 Treiden was elected Treasurer of the Society of Jewelers, Goldsmiths, Silversmiths, and Merchants.
