Oishi Shokichi /大石正吉/ graduated from Naval Academy at Etajima on April 8, 1897 (24th class - 18 graduates). Later he commanded the ships "Itsukushima", "Otova", "Suo" (formerly Imperial Russian "Victory"), "Haruna" and "Fuso". In 1921 he received the rank of rear admiral and in June 1923 became the head of the Ominato naval base. Retied in March 1924. He died in 1938 at the age of 61.
