Imperial Marine Association /帝國海事協會 - Nippon Kaiji Kyokai/ was established in November 1899 in Tokyo to promote the regulation and development of the shipping and shipbuilding industries in Japan.

Honorary Member Badge /名誉會員章/ was intendent for the members of the imperial family and high-rank officials.
Special Member Badge /特別會員章/ was issued for a one-time donation of 30 yen or more, or contribute 50 yen or more in five years as well as a monthly fee of 50 sen.
Regular Member Badge /通常會員章/ was issued for a one-time donation of 15 yen or more, or contribute 35 yen or more in five years as well as a monthly fee of 35 sen.
Supporting Member Badge /賛助會員章/ was issued for a one-time donation of one-time donation of 1 yen and 50 sen or more.
