A visual inspection of the badge at 20x magnification, as well as comparison with known authentic samples stored at the State Historical Museum, allow us to conclude that the badge of the Order of St. George, 4th Class, "For 25 Years of Service in Officer Ranks," submitted for examination is genuine, made in St. Petersburg in the mid-19th century. It has special cultural, historical, and artistic value."​
