Two basic types of these commemorative badges/watch fobs are know.

Broche of allies (fr. Bijou des alliés)

Commemorative medal in honor of the wounded (fr. Médaille commémorative à la gloire des blessés)

Both basic types were minted in bronze and silver (gold variant also potentially possible).

Badges could be ordered by client in three materials: gold, silver or gilded metal.
These unofficial commercially manufactured badges were originally intended for the french (and allied) wounded (before December 11, 1916 there was no official wound badge in France).

Around the central medallion are the coats of arms and symbols of the allied states: at the top, a two-headed eagle - the coat of arms of the Russian Empire, then clockwise, a unicorn - a symbol of Great Britain, a crowned Belgian lion,

Serbia coat of arms, Montenegro coat of arms, unofficial symbol of Japan and Gallic rooster as unofficial symbol of France. The emblem of Italy which entered the war only on May 23, 1915 is missing.
