Commemorative medal in honor of the wounded (fr. Médaille commémorative à la gloire des blessés)
Both basic types were minted in bronze and silver (gold variant also potentially possible).

Badges could be ordered by client in three materials: gold, silver or gilded metal.
These unofficial commercially manufactured badges were originally intended for the french (and allied) wounded (before December 11, 1916 there was no official wound badge in France).
