4th class Golden Kite order posthumously awarded to an Infantry Lieutenant in 1945

Interesting and rare late war awarding.

4th class Golden Kite order and 6th class Rising Sun order were formally awarded on January 23, 1945 /day of death in a combat/.

650 yen payment (for the 4th class Golden Kite order) document is dated by January 23, 1945. Note that standard 大東亜 - Great East Asia [War] was crossed out and 今次 - Current [War] was added.

 

In May 1968, his relatives will receive a document with his posthumous court rank promotion /従七位 - Junior Seven Rank/.

They will also receive another order of 6th class Rising Sun order (apparently, data regarding the rare issuance of actual orders in 1945 has not been preserved and our Lieutenant was included in the general list of posthumously awarded veterans of the WW2 in the 1960s).
