株式会社萬年社 - Mannensha Co., Ltd. /Mannensha Co., Ltd. was formerly headquartered in Chuo Ward, Osaka City and is the oldest advertising agency in Osaka. Founded in 1890 by former newspaper journalist Takagi Sadae as an advertising agency, the company started out as an agency that exclusively handled advertising for the local newspaper, the Osaka Mainichi Shimbun (now the Osaka Mainichi Shimbun), and later partnered with the Osaka Asahi Shimbun (now the Osaka Asahi Shimbun), making a major contribution to the newspaper's national status and rapidly expanding its influence. During the Taisho period, the company published the magazines Advertising Theory and Advertising Yearbook . Using these activities in Osaka as a foothold, the company expanded into a national company.
However, after the war, its position as the largest company gradually declined, with Dentsu and others taking over, and by the Heisei period it was no longer ranked among the top 10 companies. Сompany that once was known as " Dentsu in the East, Mannen in the West" filed for bankruptcy in 1999.
