Torajiro Ikeda /池田寅二郎/ (November 20, 1879 - February 9, 1939) was a born in Saga prefecture. In 1903 he graduated from Tokyo Imperial University Law School, Department of English Law, and became an assistant judicial officer. In 1905 he became a judge of the Tokyo District Court, and successively held positions such as Chief of the Tokyo District Court, Counselor of the Ministry of Justice, Public Prosecutor of the Tokyo District Court, Public Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, and Director of the Civil Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Justice. In 1918 he received his doctorate in law. In 1936 he was appointed chief judge of the Supreme Court of Japan.
