One badge uses Taisho era

大正元年 = 1st year of Taisho era = 1912



while the other still uses Meiji epoch

明治四十五年 - 45th year of Meiji era = 1912



Emperor Meiji died on July 29, 1912.

1st variation almost in mint condition.
