Trial Sample of the 300th Anniversary of the House of Romanov Order made by Fabergé

It is known that sometime in the second half of 1912 possibility of establishing an order in memory of the 300th anniversary of the House of Romanov was briefly considered. Several trial samples of different designs of the insignia of this order were produced by the Fabergé firm. Unfortunately the project was not approved. This is one of these rare trial samples.​

Same star under a different light.

Dates 1613 /in old Slavic letters/–1913 and the monograms of Emperor Nicholas II and Tsar Mikhail Feodorovich. In the center coat of arms of the Romanovs: in a silver field there is a scarlet griffin holding a golden sword and a tarch crowned with a small eagle; on a black border, eight torn lion heads, four gold and four silver.​
