Map on reverse depicts parts of three modern-day Chinese provinces: Shanxi, Hebei, and Inner Mongolia. Shanxi Province: The western side of the map marks Taiyuan (太原), the capital of Shanxi province, alongside historical local stations like Kexian (岢縣) , Yangmingbao (陽明堡) , and the central hub city of Datong (大同). Inner Mongolia: The northern and eastern lines reach deep into what is now Inner Mongolia. It includes Baotou (包頭) and Houhe (厚和) - which is the historical 1930s name for Hohhot, the modern capital of Inner Mongolia. It also branches northeast to Duolun (多倫). Hebei Province: The southeastern line travels down to Zhangjiaeqou (张家口) and ends at Chengde (承德), the historic imperial summer resort city in Hebei.
