Sendai Army Flying School was opened in July 1938 as the Mito Army Flying School https://asiamedals.info/threads/mito-army-flight-school-graduation-commemorative-watch-fobs.26166/. In September 1943 school was moved to Miyagi Prefecture and was renamed Sendai Army Flying School. In May 1944, the Sendai Army Flying School became a school that mainly educated Class A officer candidates and second lieutenant candidates. School was closed in August 1945 with the end of the Great East Asian War.
