The usual story with these crosses: all gold painting of obverse medallion is gone and the reverse medallion inscription "September 22, 1782" has been completely erased.

Almost certainly all these crosses of reduced size were made after Decree “On the reduction of the order insignias of the St. George and Prince Vladimir/Об уменьшении орденских знаков Святого Георгия и Князя Владимира” given to the Chapter of Russian Orders on January 20, 1816 by Emperor Alexander I. Crosses from this unidentified (as for today) manufacturer have two variations of iconography.
