These interesting and rare sketches come from the papers of Catherine II's Secretary of State Count A.A. Bezborodko /А.А. Безбородко/. A bound volume containing the papers of A.A. Bezborodko, according to the entry on the title page, was donated to the State Archive of the Russian Empire by P.I. Bartenev in May 1891.
