Orders of Saint Stanislaus with Imperial Crown made by Wilhelm Keibel workshop /WK/

From 1831 until 1839 the Order of St. Stanislav of the 2nd class was awarded to both Russian and foreign subjects with a breast star. In 1839 two divisions were created for the 2nd class of the Order of St. Stanislaus: a cross adorned with the Imperial crown and a cross without a crown; the breast star (in the 2nd class) awarded only to foreign citizens. Awarding of the Order of St. Stanislav with the Imperial Crown was abolished on February 14, 1874.

Gold, enamel.
Size 70 x 45 mm.

Marked with "WK" for Johann Wilhelm Keibel workshop, St. Petersburg assay office mark "Coat of arms of St. Petersburg", unreadable St.Petersburg assay office year mark "185?"; on reverse under the enamel with "double-headed eagle" and "WK".
