Samuel Arndt (Самуэль Арнд; 1812-1890) was born in 1812 in Russia. In 1845 he became a master, and in 1849 he had his own workshop. During the Crimean War, the Kapitul, experiencing a shortage of orders, attracted additional /non-official/ suppliers of orders on a temporary basis. Arnd's workshop was one of these suppliers.
