Lieutenant General Mori Muraji/Mori Ren (January 8, 1876 - July 23, 1937) was born in Yamaguchi Prefecture. In November 1899 he graduated from the military academy school (11th class). In December 1909 he graduated from the Army College (21st class). Appointed General Chief of Governor General of Taiwan. In May 1917 he became captain of infantry in Tianjin, promoted to infantry colonel in April 1921 and became the commander of the army infantry school regiment. In August 1923 became chief of staff of the 10th division. In 1924 (Taisho 13) December, promoted to Major General of the Army. In August 1930 he became Lt. Gen. and commander of the Independence Garrison Unit in Manchuria. In August 1932 transfereed to the 14th Division Headquarters, in October of that year he became its commander. In August 1934 he was transferred to a reserve.
