Medal was awarded to businessman and politician Nita Daihachirō /仁田 大八郎; November 19, 1871 (October 7 , 1871) - March 1, 1945) for establishment of horse breeding farm /Izu Horse Company/, achievements in fish farming and cultivating fish species, poultry farming, etc. Nita Daihachirō was born on October 7, 1871. Daihachiro Nita's family is the 37th generation of a family whose distant ancestor was a famous military commander Tadatsune Nita, who contributed to the founding of the Kamakura Shogunate under Minamoto no Yoritomo. Nita studied at Shizuoka Junior High School. In 1896, he established the Nita Credit Union in his hometown of Nita Village, Shizuoka Prefecture (present-day Kannami Town), and became its chairman. In 1912, he became the Shizuoka Prefecture Shinrenren Chairman, and in 1923 served as Chairman of the Shizuoka Branch of the Industrial Union Central Association. In 1932, he also became a member of the House of Representatives of the Imperial Diet. He Died on March 1, 1945.
