Golden Weapon "For Bravery" of Lieutenant General Nikolai Nikolayevich Karepov

Officer's shashqa type 1881/1909 with damascus blade with fullers on both sides and three additional grooves. Gold-inlaid dedication, "Н.Н. Карепуво - 1-й батальон/N.N. Karepuvo - 1st Battalion" on the obverse side. The ricasso bears maker's mark, "Schaaf and Sons - St. Petersburg" along with the double-headed eagle. The brass knuckle-bow hilt with remnants of gilding and floral decoration, the cipher "A II" for Alexander II (1818 - 1881), and is engraved on both sides of the quillons with "За храбрость/For Bravery".
