同人会 /or 同仁会/ Doujinkai = Doujin Association /where Doujin [do̞ːd͡ʑĩɴ] - fellow worker, person of the same belief or conviction; colleague; group of people who share an interest, activity, or hobby/ = Benevolent Society or Association for Universal Benevolence was founded in 1902 by some people in the medical circle and by the cadres of the Toa Dobun Association. The original purpose of its activities was to popularize the modern medicine and medical therapy of Japan in neighboring countries (mainly China and Korea) in a bid to promote peace and amicability with them. Prior to the incident of Marco Polo Bridge, the activities in China were mainly involved in cultural and hospital operations; after the incident, they were changed to dispatching diagnostic and anti-epidemic teams until Association was dissolved in 1946.
