Winston Churchill became knight of the Order of the Elephant in 1950. After his death in 1965 insignia of the order was returned to the Ordenskapellet (Order Chapter).
This set of replicas was handed over to the Chartwell House (Winston Churchill's family home) by the Danish Charity Foundation in 1966.
