Along the obverse perimeter are battle sites: Tashichao, Shahe, Liaoyang, Mukden and Khamytan.

Fourth Siberian Corps was formed in 1904 from 2nd and 3rd Siberian reserve brigades deployed in the division. He was part of the Southern Group of Forces in the battles near Laoyang during the Russo-Japanese War.

Vasiliev Vladimir Konstantinovich /Васильев Владимир Константинович/ was born on January 4, 1876. The son of a state councilor, a native of the Tobolsk province. He studied at the Imperial University of St. Petersburg, but did not complete the course. He entered service in 1903 in the 9th Tobolsk Reserve Battalion (cadre) as a volunteer of the 1st category. In 1904 he was promoted to junior non-commissioned officer. From September 27, 1904 - ordinary warrant officer, from January 27, 1905 - warrant officer. From October 20, 1905 he was temporarily commander of the 1st company. He was transferred to the army reserve on July 5, 1906. On July 11, 1913, he was in the Seraphim monastery at the Belogorsk monastery in Osinsky district, Perm province. As he was unable to go on a campaign due to illness, he was sent from the 334th Irbit Infantry Regiment to the 107th Infantry Reserve Battalion and, while in the hospital, was enlisted among those seconded on August 10, 1914. Upon recovery, he arrived in the battalion and was appointed junior officer of the 3rd companies. Arrived from the 107th Infantry Battalion to the 334th Irbit Infantry Regiment and was appointed junior officer in the 9th Company - 10/09/1914. From April to August 1915, he temporarily commanded the 8th Company. Surrendered to the 8th company and was appointed junior officer of the same company - 08/02/1915. Promoted to second lieutenant - 09/22/1915. Was shell-shocked on the Shahe river in the right leg - 09/28/1904. He was wounded in a battle near the village Pechenken and sent to the division hospital - November 23, 1914. He was shell-shocked in a battle near the village of Narogele and sent to the 2nd hospital of the 84th Infantry Division - August 14, 1915. He fell ill and was sent to the main evacuation point of Art. Vileika on 07/18/1916. Was awarded with Military Order of Saint George Badge of Distinction 4th class No. 102204. During WW1 war was awarded with 3rd class Order of St. Stanislaus with swords and bow - 03.30.1915 and Order of St. Anne, 3rd class with swords and bow - 07/01/1915. Was in campaigns and affairs against Japan, as part of the troops of the Manchu armies from 06/01/1904 to 11/28/1905. Participated in battles: At Wafangou station - 07/02/1904; Tashichao village - 07/10-11/1904; Sanchenzi village - July 18, 1904; near Liaoyang - 08/19-21/1904; on the river Shahe - 09.28-30.1904; near Mukden - 02/11-22/1905.​
