4th class St.George order of Franz Joseph I of Austria

Interesting austrian made cross.
Made in gold. Most likely by Rothe, Wien.

Emperor Francis Joseph https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz_Joseph_I_of_Austria was awarded with 4th class St.George order on June 20, 1849.
In this photo he is wearing the very same cross.

"For distinction/За отличие".

There are two St.George crosses in the museum collection.

Franz Joseph was also awarded with Saint Alexander Nevsky.
In fact he was awarded with all Russin Imperial orders.
Got them on top of St.Andrew order on December 18, 1845.

Breast star was made in Vienna but the badge is original russian-made piece issued from Kapitul.
