Gold, enamel.
Size 48 mm.

Marked with deformed double-stamped maker's mark "ДО" for Dmitri Osipov workshop and St.Petersburg assay office gold hallmark "56+anchors" from 1882-1898 time period.

Karl-Theodor (Fedor) Melgren (Карл-Теодор (Феодор) Мельгрен; 1836-1905) was born in Helsinki. He received his architectural education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm and at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. For many years he worked in Russia and was married to Ludwig Nobel's sister. In April 1879 he became an academician of architecture at the Imperial Academy of Arts.

In 1880 he was awarded with 3rd class St. Stanislaus order.
In 1881 he received order of the Vasa.
In 1883 he was awarded 3rd class St. Anna order. In the same year he received a gold medal in memory of the consecration of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
In 1886 he received 4th class St. Vladimir order
In 1888 he was elevated to the dignity of nobility.
In 1897 he received 3rd class St. Vladimir order.​
