Marked with gold hallmark "56", unreadble St. Petersburg year mark, under the enamel with "double-headed eagle" and (most likely) "IK".

Silver, gilt, enamel.

Breast star marked with with St. Petersburg assay office silver hallmark "84" with the initials of the assay inspector of the St. Petersburg assay office "ЯЛ/YL" (Яков Ляпунов/Yakov Lyapunov) from 1899-1904 time period.

On February 21, 1906 Tōgō Heihachirō became honorary member of the British Order of Merit with swords /military division/.

Note that the central medallion also has chipped enamel that is visible at the photo.
