第六高等學校 - Sixth High School

The Sixth High School (Kyusei Dairoku Koto Gakko) was a government-run high school established in March 1900 in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture. The school had a three-year advanced course consisting of liberal arts and sciences, and graduates were split between the Imperial Universities of Tokyo and Kyoto. The school has a culture that values practical application, and has produced many talented people for the political, business, and legal professions, but the number of students who go on to pursue a career in the literary field is extremely low. It was one of the predecessor schools to the new Okayama University and became the parent institution of the Faculty of Law and Letters, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Liberal Arts.
