Born in Alsace in 1840. At the age of 11 he moved to Russia. In 1886 Fyodor Ivanovich opened his own silver jewellery workshop. In 1887 he entered into an agreement with the Moscow branch of the Faberge firm. Up to 80% of all products with the Faberge mark came out of Rückert's workshop. Workshop became famous for its amazing enamel painting, which captured the beauty and charm of the Russian antiquity. From 1910 to 1917 Rückert owned a silverware factory in Moscow (located at 29 Vorontsovskaya Street). He never worked exclusively for Faberge. He also accepted orders from competing firms - the famous workshops of Ovchinnikov, Kurlyukov and Marshak.
